Your Dance Journey Starts Here
Encore Dance Studio is a welcoming and vibrant dance school at the heart of the Burnley community.
Established in 2013 by Helen Cheung, Encore was founded with a clear vision: to create a safe, supportive environment where dancers could develop confidence, technique, and a lifelong love of dance. Over the years, the studio has grown alongside its students, becoming a trusted space for dancers of all ages and abilities and a valued part of the local community.
In 2025, Encore Dance Studio entered an exciting new chapter. The studio became a limited company and was purchased under new ownership by Amy Williams, a highly experienced professional within the dance industry. With a strong background in dance education and performance, Amy brings fresh energy, expertise, and a clear vision to build on Encore’s success, continuing to nurture young dancers while taking the studio to the next level.
Our aim is to provide high-quality dance training in a safe and supportive setting, delivered by highly qualified teachers of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), ISTD, and Acrobatic Arts. We support students of all ages and abilities with expert guidance and a clear pathway for growth and achievement.
Encore offers a wide range of opportunities including exams, shows, competitions, and annual dance events, allowing dancers to grow both technically and personally. We believe dance is about more than learning steps. It’s about building confidence, resilience, and friendships that last.
Above all, Encore Dance Studio is proud to serve the Burnley community, supporting each dancer’s journey and celebrating every milestone along the way.
Meet the Team
Our team is made up of highly trained, passionate professionals who bring industry experience, technical excellence, and genuine care to every class. United by shared values, we work closely with our dancers and families to create a supportive community where confidence, discipline, and love of dance can flourish.

Amy Williams
My background spans a diverse range of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and Acrobatic Arts. I am a qualified RAD teacher (RTS) and a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher, and I hold a Diploma in Early Years Education, allowing me to support dancers with both technical expertise and age-appropriate care.
I have had the privilege of working with professional ballet companies, performing and collaborating on projects such as BBC’s Doctor Who, and the West End. I've featured as a Can You Dance (CYD) Star. My career has also included working with leading dance schools across the South West, helping me build a strong professional dance network across the UK.
Whether a student is taking their very first class or continuing an established dance journey, I am committed to supporting them every step of the way. While not every child will aspire to a professional career in dance, I believe wholeheartedly that every child can grow in confidence. Every student I have taught stands a little taller and speaks a little clearer and it is a privilege to guide them as they achieve their own personal success.
Let’s dance.

Sarah Williams
Sarah is the smiling face that greets every student and parent who walks through our studio doors and truly the backbone of Encore Dance Studio. As our front desk superstar and admin extraordinaire, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from managing schedules and enquiries to supporting events and day-to-day studio life.
Affectionately known as the queen of all dance mums, Sarah has a natural gift for working with children and families. She is always ready with a friendly word, a helping hand, and the reassurance parents appreciate making everyone who enters the studio feel welcome, supported, and at home.
With a background in healthcare, Sarah brings a calm, caring, and professional approach to her role. She holds first aid and safeguarding certifications, ensuring the wellbeing of our dancers is always a top priority. Whether she’s organising events, answering questions, or cheering on our performers from the sidelines, Sarah’s warmth, dedication, and attention to detail are an invaluable part of the Encore family.

Evie Dootson
Evie has been dancing since the age of five, beginning her training at McLaren Dance Company, where she also spent several years teaching younger students. Alongside her teaching, she competed extensively and completed a BTEC Level 3 in Musical Theatre at Shockout Arts.
Evie continued to develop her skills by pursuing a degree in Professional Dance and Choreography, further expanding her technique and creative expertise. Throughout her training, she has competed in dance competitions across the UK, performed in annual theatre dance shows, participated in flash mobs, and was selected to perform a solo in her college showcase.
Passionate about all styles of dance, Evie has regularly attended masterclasses and workshops nationwide, gaining experience and inspiration in a wide range of genres. Her dedication, versatility, and love for dance make her a valued teacher and role model for students at Encore Dance Studio.
